The largest organ of our body is worn on the outside. We call it skin. It can weigh anywhere from 6-9 pounds and have a square footage of more than two yards. It reflects the health of the body and acts as a barrier against injury and bacteria. It is unique in that it keeps the inside of your body from exposure to the outside environment.
Unfortunately, at one time or another, nearly everyone has some type of skin disease - infants, children, teenagers, adults and the elderly.
